I miss my grandpa

Ok so do you see the new thing at the top of our Blog? It is an ovulation counter. I went to this trying to conceive website and all these"trying to get pregnant" people had these little tickers on their posts. You can go to Lilypie.com and design your own. I thought it was hilarious. I swear there is something for everybody. I just had to share this little thing. Not much more to share here...really feeling the effect of the double dosage...I should say POOR HUBBY is feeling the effect of the double dosage. I love him so much. Will write more later. Oh those tickers...they make them for everything..weddings...babies...birthdays...EVERYTHING!!!!!

TODAY I am thankful for Copper Annie... because after she ate that HUGE cookie dough ball that I threw away we are lucky she is still here. It was the size of a large grapefruit. I am also thankful for baby locks because that is where the trash is now...behind a cabinet with baby locks.

Today I went in for a routine Clomid checkup...to make sure everything is still working and ready to ovulate. I saw the BEST Dr. in the world and he said that everything looked GREAT! YIPPEE and that he was doubling my Clomid which can result in twins. I am all for twins and so is Ken but we will take what we can get at this point. Dr. Garza reassured us that we are not at the "Jerry Springer" stage of fertility and that he doesn't anticipate anything more than twins from this dose. I will have to return for blood work on the 1st of June. REMEMBER we are shooting for 20.... my progesterone level that is. 20 or higher is where we want it. Remember my last dosage of Clomid it only went as high as 7.5. EVERY ONE THINK 20!!!

Anyways I just got an email from one of my good friends that they just welcomed a new arrival into their family....Mason Paul Heye was born on May 11th. That is all I know. I am assuming Mom and Baby are fine considering she emailed me. Hope I can see that little one soon.

What is it with all these baby boys. I think that makes 11 baby boys that have been born recently or are soon to be born. WOW!

TODAY I am thankful for
the X chromosome
because it looks like we are going to need more of them
out there to get some baby girls around here!!!

Ovulation sucks!!!

So~ yesterday I found out:
1~ I am possibly not pregnant and
2~ that my progesterone is at a 7

Both of these things are not what we wanted to hear. First, they couldn't rule out that I was or was not pregnant because it was too early to detect a positive negative...BUT today ....I could tell that I wasn't for sure (if you know what I mean). Then my Dr. wants my progesterone to be around 20..mine is at 7. Too low and so now I have to go in on day 5 and get another check up which will require an ultrasound and then get my Clomid doubled. YIPPEE!!! Now since the first round of fertility didn't work I get to go for round 2. AND... Now I have to be serious about my charting. I have a really scientific calendar that I have to fill out. Oh well wish us luck for next month.

Ovulation Calendar - This free ovulation calendar can help you determine your most fertile days.

TODAY, I am thankful for 2 things...
1~ my little brother...who is little no-more HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY Josh! and
2~ Julius Ceasar for implementing the calendar.
Did you know that April, May, and June are believed to be named after the Roman gods of fertility?
Well now you do.

Cuz in the news

This is my crazy ..got to love her...cousin, Steph. My other cousin, Krissy, emailed this to me and I thought that I might share it with you. Steph made the front page news in Gulfport, Mississippi. Way to go Steph. I always knew you would be famous.

My "later" ended today with a message left on my answering machine. Unfortunately, the dr's office was closed when I tried to call back and so we will get our blood work results tomorrow morning. I will fill ya'll in tomorrow.

Oh my gosh I use to think 3o was old but now I am almost 30 and it doesn't seem so old any more. Yesterday, my sweet, darling, cutie patootie husband surprised me by having some of my best friends meet us at Road House for a birthday dinner. It was so nice to have everyone together for a bite to eat. It isn't often that you can get that many people to take time out of their busy lives to come and celebrate a birthday. I appreciated it so much. I am already trying to anticipate what to write in my Thank You cards...words really can't express how happy I was to have all of them there. At one point in the evening, I tried to make eye contact with everyone and just smile. I just took the moment in and realized that they were there for ME. I felt so special... I was feeling high on life when the waitress asked, my friend Patti, how old I was..of course Patti replied 29 and the waitress said AND I QUOTE "WOW...You look good for your age!" The waitress said it with a big doe eyed look... she said it like it was a compliment or something but "good for my age" whatever sweetheart... someday you will be 29 and you will leave your skinny, cute, can't be over 21, I should be model for Guess~ waitress no tip on your birthday too. Man it feels good to be almost 29!!!!

Today I am thankful for
"gratuity included" when your party is over 6 people!!!

Had my blood work done today and won't find out any of the juicy details until later. Don't know when later is but later is what I was told. I felt like yelling at the poor nurse... who by the way only hurt me a little while she was trying to poke my vein with a very large needle. Anyways I wanted to scream...LATER... what is later? Tomorrow...NO and we know no-one in the medical profession works on the weekends so write that off... so now we are talking about Monday or Tuesday WHO KNOWS. It is one of those things that is just out of your hands. Don't they know how important this is? Don't they know friends and family want to know results and we don't want to know LATER we want to know NOW!!!
My blood was drawn to test for 2 things..1- progesterone levels and 2- pregnancy so as you can see we have a lot of waiting to do.

This weekend, ironically, I share my birthday with Mother's Day. Maybe I will receive a belated gift from above. BUT WE WON'T KNOW UNTIL LATER!!!

Today I am thankful for grandma's who send you 2 sticks of gum in the mail...one to share and one to chew. I love tradition!!

Later~ Meghan

By request from Grandma Freeman I have posted my baby's picture. This is Copper Anne Farley or otherwise known as Copper Annie. She is our"baby" and the grand-dawg. She is one spoiled pooch. In this picture she is sick and tired of me taking her picture while she is trying to get some beauty rest.

Today I am thankful for true companions.

scared to teach
Posted by Hello

3 Weeks and 4 days

YEP that is how long I have left until I can sleep in on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and so on and so on. This year in teaching has been a challenging one to say the least. I have to keep reminding myself that I have only been doing this for 4 years but I have the resposibilities of a veteran teacher. I take them upon myself... I know ... but that is just a part of my character. It is like I don't do things in black and white... I have to add frills and lace and color coordinate and candles and whatever...it is an issue that I have been dealing with my whole life. I am my own worse enemy. Towards the end of the road ....(school)... I start to get summeritis...where I don't want to grade I don't want to go and I don't want to come back next year...and then summer comes and I renew my spirit and somehow end up back teaching. What can I say even with its ups and downs I still love it.

TODAY I am thankful for hot glue and lace.

WHY WE BLOG???

OK so I have been playing around with how to get these darn pictures on here it isn't as easy as cut and paste but I finally figured it out. The real issue of this BLOG is to keep family and friends updated on any future Baby Farley. As many of you know I have gone through a lot this past year to try to get pregnant. Through it all I have had lots of support from family and friends and a WONDERFUL DOCTOR!!!!!!! but we ... OK... I decided to start this BLOG to see if Friends and Family are interested in what's going on. I go to the doc on Thursday... May 5th for Testing. I have been taking the Fertility Drug Clomid to make me ovulate and on Thursday I get to give blood to test for hormone levels basically they are testing my progesterone to see if it is high enough and if it is not and we are not preg. this month then we will increase my dosage for the next month. We hope that this will not just be an update post for US but everyone share their pictures and news and we will try to post them on here.

I am so lucky to have such a great husband. We are so much more than just husband and wife. He is my best friend. Today, he let me sleep in and cleaned the house. While I was out looking at my garden and taking care of my un-wanted weeds he cleaned our bedroom and bathroom. I am so lucky to have KEN in my life.

So TODAY and always I am thankful for my husband and BEST FRIEND Ken!!
