This weekend was eventful. We finished our garage sale on Sat. and the roadrunner visited (see picture). We donated most of our left over items to the local animal shelter and Goodwill. We were exhausted and HOT so Ken's mom asked us to come over and do dinner. We went over and Ken went swimming with the dogs. I don't know who had more fun Ken or the dogs (see pictures). We later went out to eat with Ken's mom and Rick (Ken's stepdad). On Sunday, we went to auction in San Marcos. We got a few items. The best thing we got was a big hand carved and hand painted duck. It is made from one piece of wood and is really cool. We liked it right away and actually thought we wouldn't be able to get it BUT we did and for a good price too. After auction, we went through Dad's newly acquired record collection (he bought 5 boxes of old records at auction). I sat on mom's new laptop and the boys would yell out titles and I would see how much they were going for on eBay. The funniest was when Ken found the Beatles White Album...he got soooooooooo excited and said, " this is worth so much ...thousands" I looked it up $12.00 and it was in mint shape ours however is in not so good shape. I think I burst Ken's bubble. Later on the boys went and ran some manly errands and I stayed at Mom's and took a nap while she stayed on her new laptop. (SHE IS ADDICTED) We had dinner there and then came home to clean for my tutoring tomorrow. Tutoring this summer has really been great. Not only do I get paid to have fun with these boys I also have to keep my house clean and wake up early. It has really kept me on schedule. Anyways.... Before it got dark I told Ken I wanted to go look at the ponds in the front because after a rain (which we got about 2 inches during my nap at mom's) the snails go crazy and they have glistening trails all over our sidewalks. It really is cool. I don't really care that they eat all my plants because they are so much fun to look at. Well, while outside Ken noticed that the top pond was wriggling with activity. Ken said, " you've got tadpoles," I was sooooo excited. There are thousands of them. The pictures don't even come close to show you the quantities of tadpoles in out little pond. I was soooo excited I called mom and dad and they rushed over with Josh and his girlfriend, Lisa (which I often call Julie because I just forget her name... my luck I have never said it to her face). I think they were just as excited. We also showed them our Snail Party Wagon. If you notice in the picture I have hardly any plants in it. HENCE the name PARTY WAGON. Well I wanted to give you a summary of our pictures which equal our weekend. Next weekend we have Ken's cousin's wedding and I am sure I will have lots of pictures for that too.

Today I am grateful for INLAWS

Susie and Rick (Ken's Mom and step dad) are so nice and giving. They are always taking us out to dinner (when they are in town) or helping us out here and there. There are not words that can say how grateful we are that Rick is in Susie's life and in ours. He makes her so happy that she has blossomed into a most generous soul, which is spread among the rest of us lucky to know her. THANK YOU RICK AND SUSIE FOR ALL YOU DO. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

This is another batch. It is neat to see them swarm together.

I was so excited about our tadpoles that I called my parents. They came over with Josh and his girlfriend and we scooped some up in a jar for a better effect. This is Josh holding the jar.

Ok so I went to my pond in the front to see the snails because they are my favorite to watch after a rain....anyways...the top pond was moving around a lot and we found BABIES. LOTS AND LOTS OF TADPOLES.

RITA at her cutest.

Rita is swimming with Ken. She would jump in for her ball and try to keep it away from her dad by swimming laps. She is soooo cute.

Ken went swimming at his mom's house (she's watering plants in the background). The dogs decided to join him. You can see the back of Rita's head watching her big daddy (Max) jump in.

Our friendly roadrunner that comes up our street every day around 10 in the morning. Ken tried to get a picture but this was the best he could get.

Ken's Vacation

The pictures below are some things we did on Ken's Vacation. Last week he got the whole week off so we decided to do some things for a change. One thing he wanted to do was go to Fiesta Texas. WHY??? Well we did it was ok. We had free tickets..Thank goodness. We walked around most of the time because Ken doesn't ride roller coasters and we went to a few shows. The first show we went to was by pure luck because we stopped in to get a bite to eat. SEE PICTURE OF OUR $35 meal. Needless to say that show SUCKED. We went to 2 more shows that day and they equally stunk. The most enjoyable time was riding the train. I think we rode it 3 times. I must admit that Fiesta Texas is pretty to look at but very expensive. Ken and I figured that if we didn't have free tickets and did all the things we wanted to do ( play games and ride the go carts) we would have easily have spent over $250. That is crazy for just the 2 of us. Thank goodness we had free tickets.

Another thing we did was get ready for a garage sale. We went room to room cleaning out JUNK. It took us a good 3 days to get everything priced and organized. The day of the sale (Friday) we had a good turn out. Mom and Dad brought over some of their stuff and Grandpa put in some of his too. It went well. We were suppose to have it Sat. too but we got rained out. The deal was that whatever didn't sell we would donate to goodwill or some other charity. Ken thinks we need to have another one because we were rained out and didn't get the Sat. crowd. WHATEVER... so my garage has turned into a family storage unit and this Sat. we will finish our Garage Sale.

Because we were rained out Sat. Ken and Dad decided to go to Buda to see the new Cabelas. It is a sporting goods store. More for the hunting and fishing type than the football and soccer type. Let's just say if you like having dead animals on your wall you might like Cabelas. I thought it was ok. I did get a pair of shoes out of the deal and Ken got to meet a former Dallas Cowboy... Randy White. He was very excited about that.

Sat. was also the day that Ken and I went to get my new hobby supplies. I started lampworking or making glass beads. I have seen it several times on my favorite show Crafters Coast to Coast and have thought that it might be something I would enjoy. After several weeks of thinking about it I decided that YES this is something I could really come to love. Anyways Ken took me to a store called Wired Designs and they gave me some very helpful hints and got me on my way. I have also signed up for a beginners class (with mom) on the techniques and what nots. They told me that I could just practice until my class and that is what I have been doing. What stinks though is when you get this great bead made and it breaks during the cooling process. I was told that I need to get a kiln to keep that from happening. ANYWAYS it is very relaxing and somewhat therapeutic to do this and my Dr told me to get a hobby.... hmmmm,,,,,, I wonder if insurance will cover this.... Kilns run about $350 - $500 think I will ask for a prescription next time. If you want to know what I really am wanting to do go to Ebay and type in lampwork beads and see what comes up.

Speaking of Dr.... I am doing ok. I just finished my second round of triple clomid. If this one is a negative in the prego department then we will try some other oral fertility drug next month. KEN came out of his test with an A+++ he is above average and according to the sperm specialist has some to spare. He was very proud of himself. He puffed up like a big rooster after he got the results it was very cute.

Ok I think that covers everything we did do other things on his vacation but they were not documented by photographs and I don't feel like typing anymore.

TODAY I am grateful for.... Dr humor
before Ken had to go take or give his test he asked if I could go back there with him. Of course they said yes and during the directions (it is very scientific you have to write down everything... did you miss any, what time it started, what time it ended, and more) ANYWAYS during the directions the Dr. proceeds to tell us that because both of us will be in the room that we are welcomed to the dirty movies and magazines and the only thing they ask is that there is no saliva in the sample...THINK ABOUT IT ....ooooooh gross

We went to Cabellas in Buda, Texas to meet Randy White ( former Dallas Cowboy). Ken was very excited to meet him and he was a very nice guy.

FINALLY got my lab results back from the bloodwork. I gave blood last Tuesday.. it was painful for some reason.... ANYWAYS, I finally got my results in and we are at a progesterone level of 19.4 which is good...not great because we are shooting for 20 but still we are very close. This round of TRIPLE CLOMID wasn't successful so I go in on Friday to get another round of TRIPLE. On double doses I thought my breast were going to explode out of my shirts but amazingly on TRIPLE that didn't happen. Don't know why... but I am not complaining either. HOWEVER triple dosage did make me very emotional.... not towards Ken but towards pregnant women and babies. I would find myself staring at pregnant girls just walking by in Target or HEB. I would be jealous of young parents with their babies. I felt like my nose was being rubbed into the fact that I have not reached that milestone in my life. I would get angry too. It got to the point that I would count out loud in stores how many times I would see a pregnant person or a baby. I would do it right in front of them too. Ken thought I was crazy...not to mention the pregnant girls that would walk by and I would say "5" out loud because they just happened to be the fifth one on my crazy list. As silly as it sounds it made me feel better to do that. You don't really realize how many pregnant people or babies are out their until that is the one thing you desire most in your life. I compare it to a new car...once you get your new car you think your the only one that has one and then you start driving around and notice that you aren't the only one who has one... several people have one... I kind of feel like that but I don't have the new car yet and every one with a new car keeps parking in my personal space. I know I am crazy!!!
ps ~ (unless Ken reads the blog ...which he doesn't... he doesn't know I am telling the worls this)... becaue we have done 3 months of clomid with no pregnancy he has to leave a little deposit next week... keep him in your thoughts... he is very nervous... I don't know why... I love him sooo much.

TODAY I am THANKFUL for dusting.
After dusting my dresser I found Ken's wedding ring. It was hidden under a music box thingy on my dresser. He had been missing it for weeks now and we had already bought him a new one. Now you know that I don't dust very often BUT I DON'T CARE I found Ken's ring.
